Business Needs in Havering & Redbridge

Business needs in Havering & Redbridge – training provision

You are invited to a special roundtable event on 8th February 22 from 10am to 1pm at Romford Town Hall, committee room 3A and 3B to decide what the local training provision should be in Havering and Redbridge to meet the needs of our local business community.

The conclusions we reach at this meeting will be linked to the work of the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) – a process which is backed by the Government and the Mayor of London to decide what the future of training provision should consist of across the capital.

The final LSIP recommendations is likely to include specific proposals for east London – including for Havering and Redbridge.

This is our opportunity to ensure these future plans meet our needs.

Issues we can consider include:

  • What are the specific skills gaps in our boroughs;
  • Should training provision be more flexible to meet local business needs;
  • How should business work with local education providers;
  • How should business support learners

It is likely that the Greater London Authority and the office of Andrew Rosindell MP (Romford) will be represented at the event.

Please can you respond to us by Wednesday 25th January to let us know if you can attend.
